Dr.Marela Garcia is a Board Certified Periodontist and a Venezuelan native.
Dr. Garcia received her dental degree in 1997 from Universidad Central de Venezuela where she graduated at the top of her class. She completed her post-doctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania where she received her Certificate in Periodontology. She was also appointed as the Director of the Periodontal Department for undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2005, she earned her D.M.D. from University of Pennsylvania, followed by her MBA to combine dentistry and management of dental practices.
Currently, she serves as a Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine where she dedicates her time lecturing and teaching to both graduate and post-graduate students, and also giving back to the profession she dearly loves. She continues lecturing nationally and internationally on all topics of periodontal treatment and implant dentistry.
Dr. Garcia is an active member of several dental societies, including the Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association, South Florida Dental Association, Osteology Foundation, American Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of Periodontology and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
Dr. Garcia looks forward to continuing the excellence providing treatment and elevating it further with her clinical and academic background.
Dr. Richard Salzmann earned his dental degree from the University of Florida in 1986. After practicing general dentistry for three years, he pursued advanced training in periodontology and received his certificate in the specialty from Boston University in 1991.
Since then, Dr. Salzmann has been practicing in South Florida. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the South Broward Dental Society. One of his proudest achievements is earning Diplomate status from the American Board of Periodontology in 1997, a distinction that represents one of the highest honors a periodontist can attain.
Dr. Salzmann's professional interests include dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. Above all, he is deeply committed to the well-being of his patients, with a focus on providing high-quality, affordable care delivered with kindness and respect.
Dr. Roxana Rodriguez is a dedicated periodontist originally from Cuba, though she proudly calls Florida home. With a deep passion for periodontics, Dr. Rodriguez has devoted her career to enhancing patients’ oral health through advanced periodontal care.
Dr. Rodriguez earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida before continuing her education at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry (VCUSOD). There, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, making the Dean’s List each year and graduating at the top of her class. She further honed her expertise by completing a post-doctoral residency at VCUSOD, where she received a Certificate in Periodontology.
A strong advocate for ongoing professional development, Dr. Rodriguez is an active member of several esteemed organizations, including the Florida Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the American Academy of Osseointegration. She is committed to staying at the forefront of her field, ensuring her patients receive the highest standard of care.
