  • Ensure you have proper food, tools, and medication available at home
  • Let your doctor know if you’re pregnant or ill before the procedure
  • Have a responsible adult drive you to and from the office if undergoing sedation

From restorative procedures to cosmetic surgery, we have the knowledge and technology to give you all the confidence you need with a beautiful smile. Dental Implants

Dental implants are an effective, long-term solution for individuals who have missing teeth. They’re made to look and function like your natural teeth. They’re common tooth replacement procedures because of how many benefits they provide. Dental implants are not only durable, but they also improve the appearance of your teeth as well as the ability to chew and speak easier.

Tooth Removal

To save your smile, we may need to extract a tooth. When you have teeth crowding or badly decayed teeth, getting it removed would be the best option. If the issue is above the gum line, we’d only need to do a simple extraction. If there is damage below the gum line, we’d have to make a small incision in your gums to perform a surgical extraction.

Gum Recession

When you’re insecure about the way your gums look, we offer a service to help you smile confidently again. During our gum reshaping procedure, we use a laser to carefully sculpt your gumline to its desired shape.
An inconsistent gum shape is more than just a cosmetic concern. It can also leave you vulnerable to developing plaque and bacteria. If left untreated, it can lead to a more serious oral disease that can affect the jawbone and require an extraction.

About Dental Sedation

To make our patients feel as comfortable as possible, we offer sedation to keep them calm. There are varying levels of sedation we can provide our patients, depending on how anxious they feel. The following candidates can benefit from dental sedation before an oral procedure:
  • Fear of going to the dentist
  • Sensitive gag reflex
  • Going in for a long procedure
  • Fear of tools used for the procedure

About Dental Technology

The reason we can provide patients with the most precise diagnoses is because of the advanced technology we use at our office. Our quality x-rays capture clear, high-quality 3D images that help us create the most accurate treatment plan for you. We even use advanced technology to assist in a more precise and effective surgical procedure!

Post-Op Tips

Proper post-operative care is key to a quick and easy recovery. After your oral surgery, here are some things you can do to help reduce pain and discomfort.

Medication

We will provide a prescription for medication prior to your procedure. These are usually pain medication, antibiotics, and sometimes anti-inflammatories. You’d begin taking the latter the night before your surgery. Be sure to let the oral surgeon know what medications you’re currently taking!

Swelling

Swelling after surgery is completely normal, but for some oral procedures, it’s not as likely. Ice packs are good for keeping any excess swelling down. You’ll be instructed to keep ice on your face on and off the day of the surgery. The more you keep the swelling down, the less pain you’ll feel.

Bleeding

Occasional bleeding during the first 24 hours after the procedure is also expected. If you notice constant bleeding, hold a gauze pad soaked in cold water firmly to the affected area until the bleeding stops. Call us if this does not stop the bleeding.
